Dennis Reed Phillips was born on September 11, 1946 in Pensacola, Florida to Chester & Delma Phillips. He passed away at his home in Greenbank, WA on August 13, 2024 with family.
Dennis was drafted to Vietnam a year post high school graduation, in 1967, where he served until 1972 when he was honorably discharged. Dennis resided in Maple Valley, WA for over 40 years before moving to Whidbey Island for the remaining 30 years of his life. In 1976 Dennis married Phoebe Green and was widowed with her passing in 2003.
Dennis was an entrepreneur & adventurous spirit. He had a passion for flying airplanes & the outdoors. His construction company, Phillips Construction, operated both in MapleValley& Whidbey Island where he had an eye for craftsmanship and longevity when constructing homes. His sense of humor and storytelling will be remembered by all his friends and family, along with his generous spirit.
Dennis is survived by his two daughters Amanda & Kelli Phillips, his sister Susan Savage, brother in law Leonard Savage, niece Joy Cheney, & nephew Stephan Savage.
A celebration of life will be held at 1pm on September 29th at Freeland Hall, 1515 E Shoreview Dr, Freeland.
