Dawn Melinda ‘Sunshine’ Stacey

Dawn Melinda “Sunshine” Stacey was born Sept. 26, 1955, in Seattle to Gordon and Paula Howard Monahan. She died at home Aug. 8, 2003.

She was very creative. She tattooed original designs, was a florist and made her own jewelry. She loved animals and would take in the injured and ill and nurse them back to health.

Dawn was a member of ABATE of Washington. She performed many duties including secretary, treasurer and security at numerous functions.

Dawn is survived by her father, Gordon Monahan and his wife Angela of Whidbey Island; mother Paula Trotter and husband Tomie of Vashon Island; brother Bradley Trimmer and wife Trina; nieces Dominique and Kirsten and nephews Bryan, Cameron and Benjamin Trimmer, and many dear friends, all of Whidbey Island.

There will be a celebration of her life Saturday, Aug. 23, at 3 p.m. at Greenbank Community Hall, Greenbank.
