David J. DeGraaf, age 73, Oak Harbor native, passed away June 21, 2012, with his loving wife Gladys by his side. Dave was a loving father, an avid outdoorsman, and loved fishing, hunting and camping. We will all miss his wonderful tales, especially his “ole Bill Hamburg” stories.

Dave is survived by his wife Gladys of 57 years; by three daughters, Debbie Mazden and husband Jim of Sedro-Woolley, Connie Westergreen and husband Jim of Dayton, Wash., and Cindy England of Oak Harbor; and by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dave was preceded in death by his son David DeGraaf, Jr. and by his father John DeGraaf and mother Ruby Evans.

Dave requested no formal funeral services be conducted. Private family graveside services were held at Maple Leaf Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 30, at Sierra Country Club from 1 to 4 p.m. Friends and family are encourage to share memories and condolences at www.wallinfuneralhome.com.
