David Arthur McBroom: March 17, 1963 – May 8, 2021

On Saturday, May 8, 2021, David McBroom, loving son, brother, brother-in-law, cousin and uncle passed away to be with God in Heaven. He was with his mom on Mother’s Day.

Born on St. Patrick’s Day in Seattle, on March 17, 1963, David had a heart of gold and loved his family and friends. He really enjoyed being with his family including his parents, stepmother, grandpa, grandma, brothers, great-aunts, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.

There was no closer relationship for David than the one he had with his best friend, Carl Cloud. They did everything together. As Carl stated, he lost his “crabbing partner.”

Nobody knew David better than his mom Judy and dad Cliff. They were always there for him. David’s stepmom Irene then came in and provided remarkable love, support and guidance.

Although David endured many challenges throughout his life, including a heart transplant in 1996, he battled each storm with amazing perseverance.

He was a kind, loving, honest and compassionate person who enjoyed fishing, crabbing and many sports in Special Olympics, including skiing, basketball, soccer, golf and other activities.

David is survived by his father Cliff; stepmother Irene; brothers Jeff and Greg; sisters-in-law Molly and Angelika; cousins Debbie and Scott; and several nieces and nephews.

Burial services will be held at 1 p.m. June 18, 2021 at Anderson Cemetery in Stanwood, Wash. Memorial donations may be made to Special Olympics Washington.
