Cleone was born on June 29, 1916, in Coupeville, Wash. She was from a pioneer family. Her grandfather Emerson Mitchell arrived on Whidbey Island in 1862. She is survived by one son Kenneth and a daughter Karen, six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

She will be remembered for her boundless energy, enthusiasm and zest for life.

There will be a graveside service 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4, at Sunnyside Cemetery presided by Rev David Engle.
