Carol Van Dyk

Carol Van Dyk. Loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter, died May 8, 2006 in her home in Bellevue. She was 59.

Born July 17, 1946 in Alliance, Ohio to Robert and Lois Roberts, Carol grew up in all parts of the country, from Texas to Alaska. She attended Central Washington University where she met her husband Gerry. Together they lived in Boston, Maine, Washington, D.C., and Montgomery, Ala., before settling in Bellevue in 1978.

Carol is survived by her husband of 38 years Gerry, her three children, Heather McCrae of Bellevue, Ashley Van Dyk of Seattle, Adam Van Dyk of Chicago, her grandsons Ewan and Harrison McCrae, her father Robert Roberts, Jr. of Mission, Texas and her sister Lynette Bruett of Woodinville.

Her greatest pleasures in life were her family and friends and she will be remembered for her contagious smile, grace, and passion for life.

Memorial Services will be held May 13 at 2 p.m., First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue, 1717 Bellevue Way NE, Bellevue.
