Carol Jean Brower, 55, 24-year resident of Oak Harbor, died Oct. 19, 2004, at her home.

Mrs. Brower was born in Everett July 25, 1949, to Robert Reid Peden and Emma Pearl (Pettus) Peden. She was a 1967 graduate of Everett High School. On Feb. 29, 1984, Carol married Ted L. Brower in Oak Harbor. She enjoyed coin collecting and crocheting afghans.

Carol is survived by her husband Ted, at home; her three daughters, Wendi Peden and her fiance Christopher Johnson of Oak Harbor, Crystal Peden of Oak Harbor and Christy Vitledge of Florida; her seven grandchildren, Michael, Heather, Samantha, Matthew and Timothy Green, Ryan Peden and Vanessa Valencic; her father and step-mother, Robert and Darlene Peden of Moses Lake; her mother, Emma Skorstad of Everett; her five brothers, LeRoy and Tony Peden, both of Eastern Washington, Brett Skorstad and wife Carrie, Bryan Skorstad and Leonard Skorstad, all of Everett; her four sisters, Sharon Peden of Everett, Donna Stride and husband Tony of Stanwood, Louise Peden of Renton and Juanita of Eastern Washington; also, dear friends Linda and Frank Valencic and Dave Miller.

In keeping with Carol’s wishes, services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Help House, 1091 SE Hathaway St., Oak Harbor, WA 98277.
