Beryl Hilda Helms, 81, died Nov. 19, 2008 at Careage of Whidbey. She was born Oct. 8, 1927 in London, England to James and Ethel Gunton. Beryl married Chester G. Sullivan (deceased) in London, March 16, 1946, and arrived in St. Louis, Mo., as a war bride a few months later, where she lived until recently.

She married David Helms (deceased) on Oct. 2, 1976. She moved to Oak Harbor to live with her eldest son in August of this year. She is survived by her sons, Chet and Keith Sullivan, her daughter-in-law, Belma Sullivan, grandsons Michael and Sean Sullivan, and great -grandchildren Anna, Madeline and Russell Sullivan. Beryl requested no service and cremation.
