Antoinette Juliette Williams: April 13, 1939 – Aug. 2, 2021

Antoinette (Julie) Williams left this Earth on Aug. 2, 2021. She was 82 years old. She passed away at WhidbeyHealth Medical Center, Coupeville, Wash.

Julie was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on April 13, 1939. She was the ninth of nine children of William Christian and Julia Miller. She grew up in a loving environment in the Kalihi area of Honolulu and enjoyed surfing and hula. A graduate of St. Francis Convent (High School) she married Howard Horner and they had three children, Tom, Wallace and Claire. They later divorced. She married the love of her life, Phillip Steven (Steve) Williams 48 years ago and they had one son, John Steven Pauahi Williams. She also had a special relationship with her stepson, David S. Williams.

As the wife of a career Marine she traveled the world. A kind and generous lady she made true friends everywhere she went. A patriot, she supported Steve throughout his military career. Julie and Steve loved cruising with friends and made numerous trips to Hawaii and Alaska.

She is survived by her husband Steve; sons John (Rebekah), of Anacortes, Wash., Wallace Horner (Mary), of Honolulu, Claire Truman of Lahaina, Maui, and Tom Horner, of Hawaii; two sisters, Mae Klein of Honolulu, and Jane Schreurs, of South Dakota; 10 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Julie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Earl, Erwin, William Jr. and Harry Miller; and two sisters, Rubie Miller and Dorothy Ku.

A celebration of Julie’s life will be held at a date to be announced.
