Amy Mary Wilson

Long-time former Oak Harbor resident, Amy Mary Wilson, passed away in Camarillo, Calif., Feb. 28, 2007.

Amy was born in Joliet, Ill., on Nov. 20, 1964, to Dell and Eve Almanza. She grew up in Romeoville, Ill., and graduated from Romeoville High School in 1982. She moved to Oak Harbor where she worked for Technical Services Inc. for 16 years and became a department supervisor. In 2005 she moved to Camarillo to be closer to her sons. Amy enjoyed playing Bunko and collecting coins and dolls.

She is survived by her sons, James M. Almanza of Oxnard and William D. Wilson of Ojai; her sisters, Hope M. Almanza of Romeoville, Ill., and Debbie Devore of Oak Harbor; her brother, James Joseph Almanza of Fort Worth, Texas; nephews, Jeremy Keen, Gregory Devore and John Robert McCutcheon; nieces, Brenda and Melissa McCutcheon; and numerous cousins. Amy was preceded in death by her parents Dell and Eve Almanza and her sister Brenda Almanza.

Visitation was held March 7 at Charles Carroll Funeral Home in Ventura. Funeral services will be held in Romeoville, Ill., on Tuesday, March 13, with burial at Resurrection Cemetery at 1 p.m.
