Alfred Gould

Alfred B. Gould died Aug. 31, 2003. He was born Jan. 3, 1924.

Services were held Sept. 5 in Oak Harbor. He is survived by Jean Chase of Concord, N.H.; Ruth Cole of North Carver, Mass.; Jean Tluery of Stratford, N.H.; Arther Gould of Colebrook, N.H.; Dale Gould of Snohomish; Robert Gould of Manchester, N.H.; and Fred Jennings of Stratford, N.H.

Three children, Lisa Green of Oklahoma, Bruce Gould of Ferndale and Kathy Gould of Oak Harbor, also survive. Other survivors include three grandchildren: Dalton, Ashley and Christopher.

He was preceded in death by Sherman Gould, Keith Gould, Holeman Gould and his grandson Nathan Gould.

He served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper; he later joined the U.S. Navy and retired after serving 20 years. Then he went to work for the Forest Service and then on to Whidbey Island Naval Air Station’s fire department for 32 years.

He leaves a very dear friend Sylvia Srolla, Sharon Gould, Donna Thomason and Jim Robtoy. He will be greatly missed.
