Wolves pick up wins, school record at Cashmere | Track

The Coupeville High School track team won one event in both the boys and girls divisions of the Cashmere Invitational Saturday, April 16.

The Wolves also produced a school record when Jordan Ford cleared 12 feet to place second in the pole vault, breaking his own mark by three inches.

In the team standings, the Coupeville boys placed seventh out of 15 schools with 68 points. Okanogan took the title with 190.

Cascade (Leavenworth) was first among the 16 girls teams with 170 points; Coupeville placed eighth with 60.

Dalton Martin won the boys discus (155-05) and placed second in the shot put (45-03).

Lauren Grove, Lindsey Roberts, Sylvia Hurlburt and Makana Stone led the field in the girls 4×200 relay (1:48.65) and took second in the 4×100 (51.93).

Stone added thirds in the 100 (13.36) and 800 (2:25.86).

The Wolves return to league action when they go to Olympic High School along with Port Townsend and North Mason at 3:15 p.m. Thursday, April 21.
