Coupeville registered five individual firsts and Lakewood won the team titles at a four-team track meet at Sultan High School Thursday, March 27.

Lakewood easily won both the boys and girls meets. In the boys, the Cougars scored 98 points, Archbishop Murphy 36, Sultan 27 and Coupeville 19. In the girls meet, Lakewood tallied 83, Murphy 48, Sultan 35 and Coupeville 23.

Makana Stone played a part in four of the Coupeville wins.

She took the 100 (13.57) and 200 meters (27.33) and joined Marisa Etzell, Sylvia Hurlburt and Lauren Grove to win the 4×100 (53.21) and 4×200 (1:51.58) relays.

Nick Streubel led the boys by winning the discus (129) and placing second in the shot put (43-06).

Dalton Martin finished right behind Streubel in the discus (121-10), and the 4×100 relay team of Jared Helmstadter, Latham Kelley, Brandon Kelley and Matt Shank also finished second (46.94).

The Wolves don’t compete again until 4 p.m. Thursday, April 10, when they go to Cedarcrest along with Lakewood.
