Everett put the finishing touches on a perfect Wesco North season by defeating the host Oak Harbor High School tennis team 6-1 Tuesday, Oct. 13.

The Seagulls wrapped up the North title with a 10-0 record, 12-2 overall. Oak Harbor finished fourth in the North at 4-6, 6-7 overall.

The Wildcats’ lone win Tuesday came in first doubles where Raymond Paraiso and Caleb Byers prevailed 6-4, 4-6, 6-3.

Second singles was the only other contest Oak Harbor didn’t lose in straight sets. Rodrigo Columbo fell 7-6(5), 2-6, 1-0(2). A tie-breaker was played in the third set because Everett had already clinched the team win.

Now the teams head to the Divisional Championship at 1 p.m. Oct 20 and 21 at Arlington High School.

Singles: 1, Jackson Wezeman lost 6-1, 6-1; 2, Rodrigo Columbo lost 7-6(5), 2-6, 1-0(2); 3, Jared Hunt lost 6-4, 6-2; 4, Matthew Hallahan lost 6-3, 6-1.

Doubles: Raymond Paraiso/Calib Byers won 6-4, 4-6, 6-3; 2, Matt Molitor/Aziya Sanders lost 6-1, 6-0; 3, Sidney Thomas/Jae-Kyung Kwak lost 6-0, 6-2.
