Members of the Oak Harbor High School boys golf team finished in the middle of the pack at the 15th Annual Tom Dolan Memorial Invitational at the Everett Golf and Country Club Monday, April 11.

Wildcats Haven Brown and Nick Whitley both shot 88, one shot better than teammate Caleb Brookshier, and tied for 51st out of 100 golfers. The trio were the only Oak Harbor golfers to take part, so the Wildcats did not qualify for a team score.

“Haven had a bit of a tough day, but Caleb and Nick both played very well for a very demanding course,” coach David Smith said. “The kids were at the back tees so I was pretty happy with their scores.”

Smith added that his players need to learn to “manage the course better,” deciding when to play safe shots and when to “take their medicine.”

Grayson Giboney of King’s was medalist with a 72.

Kamiak won the team title over 17 other schools with a 309.
