War protests: They fight to give us peace

I was at the rally and march in Oak Harbor Saturday to show support for the men and women of our armed forces. They are out there right now, protecting us, defending our country and our way of life.

I was at the rally and march in Oak Harbor Saturday to show support for the men and women of our armed forces. They are out there right now, protecting us, defending our country and our way of life.

They deserve our respect, our thanks and our prayers for the dangerous job they do for us all. They are putting their lives on the line to make sure we don’t have to fear terrorism here in our country. We can help them too. “Loose lips sink ships” was a popular poster during World War II. It was just as true then as it is now. Anyone listening to an American should only hear words of support for our sailors, soldiers and airmen and never anything that would compromise them.

The animals we are at war with are only interested in our complete destruction, but they picked on the wrong dog. This dog is biting back. We got stung, but we’re fighting back, and we won’t stop fighting until they are history. These animals have bombed out bases overseas, a ship while in a so-called friendly port, they have bombed, kidnapped, murdered and terrorized our personnel and our citizens both here and abroad. We tolerated this to the extent that a civil nation could, but that wasn’t enough for them.

After the World Trade Center attack, NO nation, civilized or otherwise would tolerate that. They attacked us because they believe we are soft. We are not, and they will learn this the hard way. They brought murder on a grand scale to our country, they used our families and planes to kill thousands of innocent people.

To them it is the highest of glories to die for their god after killing us. After years of self interested politicians letting them get away with attacking our bases overseas, our embassies, our ships in so called friendly ports, they got bold. It’s time we fight back , protect ourselves from this menace to humanity, and send some of them to “their glory.”

I have heard the protesters say this is another Vietnam. Where were you during Vietnam? I grew up watching it on my TV. This is not the same. If you think it is, then honey, go buy clue. Then take it over to Iraq and Iran and see what they do to you.

I am proud of what my husband and father and friends stand for. Because of them and many like them, both male and female, people like Woody Harrelson, Susan Sarandon, Sean Penn, and their ilk have the privilege to get in front of crowds and profess their incredible ignorance. If they want to make a public statement about our military, they should get down on their knees, and thank God we have a military that provides them the right to do so. Be thankful for it. Because Saddam and others like him would love to take it away from you. I do not want a war. I don’t know anyone in the military or out who wants a war. But there comes a time when turning the other cheek only gets you killed.

So what is left us? A fight to keep my children, my family, my country safe from beings who care nothing for the ways of others.

I am a very proud American and Navy wife! Who are you?
