Vacancies available on Historic Preservation Commission

The Island County Commissioners are seeking two applicants to serve on the Ebey’s Landing Historic Preservation Commission, a nine-member entity tasked with conserving the Reserve’s historic and cultural resources, for three-year terms.

The Island County Commissioners are seeking two applicants to serve on the Ebey’s Landing Historic Preservation Commission, a nine-member entity tasked with conserving the Reserve’s historic and cultural resources, for three-year terms.

Each term may be renewed upon mutual agreement.

Applicants should be well-versed and experienced in historic preservation, architecture, cultural landscapes and other related disciplines.  The Board of Commissioners appoints all historic preservation members, who will work with multiple local entities to process applications for Certificates of Appropriateness for properties within the historical reserve. A letter of interest and statement of qualifications should be sent either by mail, email or fax to the commissioners by 4:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12.
