Treat our flag with respect

The Sept. 11 attacks on the East Coast have united our country unlike anything I’ve seen before. My relatives and friends served in WW II, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, and now in Afghanistan. I honor their sacrifices by flying our nation’s colors.

What is disturbing lately is new-found patriots who staple flags to walls, tape them to windows, or most hideous of all, let the flag hang faded and tattered from an antenna.

Come on, folks. Please buy and care for a quality flag, or replace cheap ones often. It shows class and respect for the great United States of America.
