An open letter to those who busted open the door to my little house while I was undergoing surgery at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bellingham:

I have not yet returned from convalescing, so don’t know what you found when you emptied my drawers. I hope you found something that justified your conduct in attacking a sick old man of 82.
