Three people treated and released after Sunday crash on North Whidbey

Three people injured in a two-car accident on North Whidbey Sunday night were treated and released from Island Hospital, according to a hospital spokesman. The Washington State Patrol reported that 22-year-old Jahnay Lewis of Oak Harbor was driving a 2004 Ford Expedition south on State Highway 20.

The Washington State Patrol reported that 22-year-old Jahnay Lewis of Oak Harbor was driving a 2004 Ford Expedition south on State Highway 20.

Lewis’ vehicle crossed the centerline and struck a northbound 2008 Chevrolet Impala driven by 24-year-old Kevin Personett of Oak Harbor.

Both drivers were injured, as was 30-year-old Amber Personett, a passenger in the Chevrolet Impala.

The collision was reported at 8:57 p.m. Both vehicles were totaled.

The State Patrol reported that the cause of the collision was under investigation, but that drugs or alcohol may have been involved. The State Patrol memo states that possible charges are pending.
