A man who allegedly left multiple terrorizing messages on an elderly woman’s answering machine also threatened to eat the nose off a cellmate if he was booked into jail, according to court documents.

Prosecutors charged David N. Anton, 48, in Island County Superior Court April 17 with two counts of making threats to kill.

Anton pleaded not guilty April 28.

On April 15, a 77-year-old woman reported to police that she was terrified because Anton, an Oak Harbor resident, had left four threatening messages, according to the police report.

Anton had previously dated her daughter; some, if not all, of the messages appeared to be directed at the younger woman, the report indicates.

In one message, Anton threatened to “come over there and rip you apart.” In another, he threatened to kill her and her family members, the report states.

Anton allegedly said, “I’m going to (expletive) roll up in a body bag and … (defecate) on your porch,” according to the report.

Police officers said they found Anton walking on Midway Boulevard and took him into custody. On his way to jail, he continually talked about killing someone when he gets out and killing himself, the officer noted.

At the jail, he said if he was put in a cell with someone, he would kill them.

“He said that he would eat their nose off,” the officer wrote.

Anton is being held in jail on $7,500 bail.
