Editor,

The Community Foundation for Coupeville Public Schools would again like to send a huge thank you to the businesses who have participated in our Dine Out 4 Kids and Shop 4 Kids fundraising program — Ciao!, The Honey Bear, Aqua Gifts, Christopher’s, Front Street Grill, The Knead and Feed and Kapaws Iskreme.

Over the past year, your generosity has allowed us to add a third round of Mini Grant Awards and we were able to fund the requests in full.

In addition, we have been able to have a fund at each school that the principal could use for aiding students in need of help paying for basic needs and fees.

And this year, for the first time, we were able to fund three scholarships for graduating seniors.

The Foundation board has been thrilled and humbled by your gifts and the participation of the entire community in these events.

None of this would have been possible without you.

We are truly fortunate to live in a community that responds so enthusiastically to our young people and recognizes the need for educational support.

Have a wonderful summer and watch for a “Back to School” event to get us started in the fall!

Once again, thanks for making our year so beneficial for our kids.

Chic Merwine and

CFCPS Board of Directors
