Thanks: Pets on Parade inspire hope

We want to express our heartfelt thanks to the Whidbey News-Times for organizing Pets on Parade, and to the many readers whose participation in the photo contest resulted in over $100 in donations to WAIF.

Community support such as this makes a tremendous difference in the lives of our canine and feline friends. It is not just the money, but the spirit of involvement that expands the message that our pets can make an important impact on our lives, and how well we treat them is just as important as any other worthy endeavor.

The heartwarming photos were fabulous and give me hope that the homeless pets currently under WAIF’s care have the same chance for a happy home. Your help makes this possible. Thank you!
