I want to take a moment as we near Veterans Day and sincerely thank our action heroes at the Whidbey Island Naval Air Station.

Especially this year with the cruel progressive agitation aimed directly at action heroes whose idea of public service is not pontification, but protection for all of us from terror and for our Constitutional way of life.

Me being disabled, the US Navy won’t let me swear an oath to defend the US Constitution against all enemies by all means up to and including my life as I wish to do so — but I am most certainly in awe of those who provide that protection.

Let me also add my jubilation at the news the good guys got in 129 comments to the progressive agitators’ 104 as to the environmental assessment for more Growlers to protect America.

To those who howled that NAS Whidbey Island be closed down, happy to know from the report, “the Navy has no plans to recommend closing NAS Whidbey Island as it provides a vital national defense mission as the sole homebase for the Navy’s electronic attack community.”

In return, we civilians have a vital national defense mission to get their backs for once, that’s what!

Freedom requires sacrifice and thanks to the action heroes at NAS Whidbey Island we have a limited government that “shall make no law… abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

I wish these progressive agitators would realize the angry replies to their agitation is not to bias the First Amendment for conservatism; it’s to get our military families’ backs and make sure nobody comes here to tell us who or what to bow down to.

Let me also add that when citizens need our Bill of Rights, our rights to public records as I did to stand up to Washington state government desiring to put a faulty juvenile justice facility in Sedro-Woolley, you better agree with me it is not the progressive agitator, but the American warrior who goes out to secure those rights.

I am acutely aware and in awe of the nation I live in because when my family and after that Sedro needed me to repeatedly stand up to the state Department of Social and Health Services to get them to retreat by force of reason.

If I could thank every one of you who serve at NAS Whidbey Island in person, I would. Please accept my thanks – and keep making the sounds of freedom.
