Stanwood tennis team ran its record to 5-0 and took over first place in the Wesco 3A North by blanking host Oak Harbor 7-0 Monday, March 25.

The Wildcats’ Faith Franssen nearly pulled out a win in fourth singles. The junior lost the first set 6-1, came back to take the second 7-6(1) and lost the tie breaker (10-3).

Oak Harbor (2-1, 2-3) goes to Marysville-Pilchuck at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 28.
