The following items were selected from reports made to the Island County Sheriff’s Office.

Friday, Aug. 3

At 8:43 p.m., a motor vehicle prowl was reported by a resident of NE Koetje St.

At 8:45 a.m., a caller complained about a male subject taking things from his truck, including clothing. The caller was missing blue coveralls.

At 8:54 a.m., a caller on Taylor and Sleeper roads reported working on a gravel project said someone during the night stole a bunch of copper wire.

Saturday, Aug. 4

At 10:17 a.m. a caller on Donald Ave. reported here car was broken into and its license plate was stolen.

At 5:21 p.m., a caller on Goldie Road reported the person’s son was beaten by a subject wearing a hood. The suspect left on foot; medical care was not requested for the son, 15.

Sunday, Aug. 5

At 4:15 p.m. a resident of S Ebey Road reported his 1998 Dodge Dakota was stolen last night. The license number was not known.

Monday, Aug. 6

At 12:19 p.m., a caller on S. Ebey Road reported her son had left on foot with a sawed off shotgun in his backpack to find and shoot “Mugsy.”

At 11:37 p.m., a caller on Fort Casey Rd. requested contact regarding a sexual assault that occurred Sunday morning at a party on Fort Casey Road.

Tuesday, Aug. 7

At 11:36 a.m. a resident on Wilderness Way reported a burglary with hand tools and fencing items stolen.

At 3:48 p.m., a Rockwell Lane resident reported both license plates were taken from a vehicle sometime over the past two months.

Saturday, July 14

At 1:31 p.m. a Lyon Road resident reported her husband was beating her up. He could be heard in the background saying he was the one getting beat.

Friday, July 13

At 11:12 a.m., a Monroe Landing Road resident reported someone damaged her mailbox sometime after 7:30 that morning.

At 11:02 p.m., a babysitter reported she found a meth pipe at the house and wanted two subjects removed.

Wed., July 11

At 9:29 a.m., a Marine Drive reported two kayaks were taken from the beach in front of his home. One was red and one was blue.

At 10:41 a.m., a caller advised he had returned to his Highway 20 home to find the barn broken into. It was ransacked; missing were a boat motor, air compressor and power tools.

At 2:09 p.m., a resident along Highway 20 in north county reported items stolen from his property.

Tuesday, July 10

At 5:53 a.m., a caller on Laurel Lane reported the front of his house was egged sometime last night.

At 4:06 p.m., a caller arrived on Oak Harbor Road just arrived home to find someone had broken into the house. There was a black powder rifle laying on the ground and the house was ransacked.

Mon., July 9

At 9:16 a.m., a caller on Greenoch Loop reported a Puget Sound Energy fence was cut on Greenoch Loop, sometime during May.

At 12:20 p.m., a Lodgepole Lane resident reported burglary.

At 12:53 p.m., a Goldie Road resident reported a single vehicle hit a hydrant. The driver had a head injury and was bleeding from the mouth.

Sunday, July 8

At 12:03 p.m., a two-car accident occurred at Patmore Road. No one was injured.

At 1:11 p.m., disorderly conducted was reported at Patmore Road. The call was generated for obstructing.

Wed., July 5

At 6:33 p.m., a caller on Ault Field Road reported a vehicle prowl. The window as shattered on his 1991 Honda CRX but a purse and wallet were still inside.

Thurs., July 6

At 1:39 p.m., a caller on Blazer Court reported someone had moved into an abandoned trailer on his property.

At 11:24 a.m., an Ault Field business reported a wanted person had shown up for the second consecutive day.

Wed., July 4

At 11:04 a.m. a Northgate Drive resident reported items were stolen from a mini-storage shed the night before.

At 5:55 p.m. a business reported just receiving a $20 bill. The male subject was cooperative and willing to wait.

Friday, Aug. 3

At 8:37 a.m., a caller reported a woman running in and out of homes on SW 10th Avenue.

At 9:05 a.m., a caller reported a Mike’s Hard Lemonade truck was traveling on Highway 20 with the tailgate dragging on the road.

At 9:49 a.m., a caller reported a man was smoking from a crack pipe while he was inside a car at a NE Goldie Street location.

At 1:48 p.m., a caller reported two people vandalized Oak Harbor Middle School.

At 1:49 p.m., a caller reported a hit-and-run car accident occurred in the Safeway parking lot.

At 6:15 p.m., a caller reported a dog has been left at a SW 24th Avenue location without any food or water.

At 9:41 p.m., a caller reported fireworks being shot off at a N. Oak Harbor Street location.

At 10:08 p.m., a N. Oak Harbor Street resident requested a pickup of a kitten that followed the caller home. The caller can’t keep it because of a child’s allergy.

At 11:25 p.m., a caller reported a man was chasing his girlfriend up the street near the intersection of NW Crosby Avenue and NW Elwha Street.
