Not all was bad in Coupeville’s 10-1 soccer loss at Cedarcrest High School Wednesday, April 16.

“There were some stretches where we played quite well,” Coupeville coach Kyle Nelson said. “Unfortunately there were some times where we let down.”

Zane Bundy, with an assist from Abraham Leyva Elenes, scored the Wolves’ goal.

“Some of Cedarcrest’s goals were just good play on their part,” Nelson said. “They were a quality opponent who were playing very well on their home field. We will regroup and get ready for the next game.”

The Red Wolves lifted their record to 5-2 (6-3); Coupeville is now 3-5 (4-5).

The next game is a big one: at South Whidbey (5-2-1, 7-2-1) at 6 p.m. Friday, April 18.
