As we seriously consider the candidates in the upcoming election, I’m reminded that while all those we choose will affect our lives in significant ways, the vote for Island County Sheriff especially, must be a wise choice.

The new sheriff can have the experience and skill-sets necessary to manage the law enforcement responsibilities of Island County; but the bottom-line, indispensable attribute will be his personal integrity.

To enforce our laws equitibly, to protect our civil rights, and to protect our persons and property, this job begins with integrity. I’ve carefully considered these concerns and I wholeheartedly support Mark Brown for sheriff. I urge you to vote for him too.
