Rhonda Severns, the wife of Oak Harbor’s mayor, is the new president of the Oak Harbor Main Street Association.

Severns replaces Gary Wallin, who died unexpectedly in March.

“It was a sad, sad situation when we lost Gary,” said Severns. “He loved this community so much. I’m looking forward to making things happen. I had a lot of conversations before he passed away and I want to make some of his dreams come true on Main Street.”

“They are big shoes to follow but I’m excited,” she said. “I’m going to roll my sleeves up and get involved as much as I can for our community.”
