On Saturday, Aug. 7, the Island County Historical Society plans to offer a sneak peak of the bowling alley and host its summer fundraiser on site.

The museum’s executive director, Rick Castellano, said they’ve never done a bowling alley fundraiser before and that they’re excited for the unique event.

“There’s a lot of excitement around the reopening of Ebey Bowl, and we like to do something a little different every year,” he said. “They’ve really put a lot of blood, sweat and tears in to getting it back into shape. It’s lookin’ good.”

The event will be similar to an open house and will feature bowling-themed snacks, games, a raffle and a short program. Ticket prices are $25 for individuals, $40 for a couple and $50 for a family of four ($5 will be added for each additional family member). All proceeds will directly benefit the museum’s programs and operating costs. Museum officials recommend reserving a spot early as ticket sales are limited. Call 678-3310.
