Road work to delay traffic along State Road 525

Repaving will reduce traffic to one lane

Expect traffic delays along portions of State Road 525 near Greenbank through June 15. The road will be reduced to one lane as repaving crews work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

Commuters and those catching ferries should allow extra time for traveling. Cyclists and motorcycle riders should use caution or consider alternate routes as stretches of the highway will be uneven until repaving work is complete.

During the closures, flaggers will alternate traffic through the open lane.

Washington State Department of Transportation contractor crews from Granite Construction will reduce State Road 525 to one lane between Mutiny Bay Road at milepost 21 and State Road 20/East Race Road at milepost 30.5 during the following times:

Friday, June 9 – A single lane of State Road 525 between East Aqua View Lane and State Road 20/East Race Road will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Sunday, June 11 – A single lane of State Road 525 between Mutiny Bay Road and Bakken Road will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Monday, June 12 through Thursday, June 15 – A single lane of State Road 525 between Mutiny Bay Road and SR 20/East Race Road will be closed from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

After June 15, crews will continue work on additional miles of highway between Clinton and Coupeville. The project is scheduled to be complete this fall.
