Road work affects ferry traffic in Port Townsend

Beginning May 6, from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning, road crews will close one lane of State Highway 20 (East Sims Way) between Washington Street and Harrison Street at the ferry terminal in Port Townsend, and will provide traffic control for alternating traffic, according to information from Washington State Ferries.

At 8:30 p.m., crews will close all lanes of Highway 20 at the same locations and detour traffic onto Washington Street.

Local access to Highway 20 businesses and residents will be provided from the east side of the closure near the ferry terminal.
