Proud of employee Relay participation | Letter

Editor, I am one of the co-captains of the Whidbey General Hospital Answer For Cancer Relay for Life Team.

Editor,

I am one of the co-captains of the Whidbey General Hospital Answer For Cancer Relay for Life Team.

I want to publicly thank all the employees at Whidbey General for how their support in this year’s Relay For Life.

As always, we surpassed our goal in donations and this year was the first time we had a “water rally” at our hospital where all the departments were competing on whom would donate the most water.

It was great to see all the employees really step up. We donated all the cases of water to all the people at the Relay event.

We had 100 cases of water. Amazing.

We had approximately 30 cases of water left at the end of Relay so we donated them to Help House.

I am so proud to work with a group of coworkers whom are caring and want to support the community and a great cause in the fight against cancer.

Thank you, employees of Whidbey General, you rocked it this year.

P.S. Our food service department won the golden bottle for most water bottle cases.
