Police respond to fraud complaints

Tuesday, Sept. 29

5:42 p.m., a caller on Southwest Terry Road reported someone was forging bad checks using his father’s checks.

Wednesday, Sept. 30

9:35 a.m., a caller on Southwest Terry Road reported she was told she’d won some money, but had to pay for insurance first to collect. The caller was advised to call law enforcement before paying any money.

12:36 p.m., a caller reported a dead cat on the side of the road near South Main Street and Terry Road.

1:06 p.m., a caller reported a female accosted them as she was getting out of her vehicle with her kids on North Main Street.

9:09 p.m., a caller on South Main Street reported her son was refusing to leave the residence.

Thursday, Oct. 1

2:26 p.m., a caller reported a woman was sleeping in her car and using a business bathroom on South Main Street. The caller was concerned about drug usage.

Saturday, Oct. 3

8:58 p.m., a caller on North Main Street reported a woman was bitten by a terrier and had to have stitches.

Sunday, Oct. 4

11:02 a.m., a caller on Northwest Front Street reported a boat tied to the wharf wouldn’t start.
