Washington State Parks will hold a public meeting in Coupeville to discuss potential private business development at Joseph Whidbey State Park.

Washington State Parks will hold a public meeting in Coupeville to discuss potential private business development at Joseph Whidbey State Park.

The meeting is 6-8 p.m., Monday, March 21 at the Coupeville Recreation Hall.

Joseph Whidbey State Park is one of 10 state park sites considered for allowing privately-financed recreational facilities.

Such consideration comes after the state Parks and Recreation Commission adopted a strategy two years ago to expand  use of parks land holdings to try to generate revenue.
