North Whidbey Park and Recreation District is seeking sponsors for April Pool’s Day.

The event is 1-4 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at John Vanderzicht Memorial Pool.

It is a nationwide “water safety extravaganza” aimed at bringing water safety and water activities to the community at no cost.

Activities will include a swim lesson, wherein instructors will allow attendees to try out a lesson or swim test for free for the day; kayaking; SCUBA diving/snorkeling; stand-up paddle boarding; a lifeguard demonstration; and water safety presentations.
