Oak Harbor student named Presidential Scholar at UW

LOGAN MICHAELINCE, of Oak Harbor High School, has been named a University of Washington presidential scholar.

The Presidential Scholarship is a $10,000 award given to selected Washington residents who show exceptional leadership, community engagement and promise, according to a press release. It is renewable for up to four years. Washington residents are considered automatically with their application to the UW.

This year, 16 of 19 nominees accepted UW’s offer and will be incoming students in the fall.
