Oak Harbor police arrest suspected meth dealer in morning raid

Oak Harbor police arrested a suspected methamphetamine dealer while executing a high-risk search warrant this morning, Police Chief Ed Green said. Green said officers arrived at the house on the 2800 block of North Oak Harbor Street at 6 a.m. They arrested 28-year-old Michael Koepke and an 18-year-old woman in after entering the home.

Oak Harbor police arrested a suspected methamphetamine dealer while executing a high-risk search warrant this morning, Police Chief Ed Green said.

Green said officers arrived at the house on the 2800 block of North Oak Harbor Street at 6 a.m. They arrested 28-year-old Michael Koepke and an 18-year-old woman in after entering the home.

Officers found a “significant amount” of suspected meth, more than $10,000 in cash, a loaded gun and other suspected drugs, according to the chief.

Green said that Koepke has a significant criminal history and isn’t allowed to possess a firearm.

Koepke was booked into jail on suspicion of dealing meth and felon in possession of a firearm. The woman was questioned and released.
