Oak Harbor gets 3rd in JV championships | Swimming

Oak Harbor High School swam to third place in the Western Conference junior varsity championships at the Marysville-Pilchuck High School pool Thursday, Oct. 29.

Oak Harbor High School swam to third place in the Western Conference junior varsity championships at the Marysville-Pilchuck High School pool Thursday, Oct. 29.

The meet, open to all Wesco 4A and 3A schools, was won by Lake Stevens with 483 points, followed by Stanwood (379) and Oak Harbor (224). Eight teams scored in the meet, with the top 16 places in each individual event earning points.

Natalie Hahn and Kelly Gruenwald led the Wildcats by finishing first and second in diving.

Angele Dennen placed second in the 200 freestyle and Maya Krantz was third in the 100 free.

Krantz, Dennen, Maddie Harstad and Anna Kate Fahey took third in the 200-medley relay.

Harstad, Krantz, Fahey and Jenna Flores were third in the 200 free relay.
