North Whidbey park district seeks volunteers to help with bylaws

The North Whidbey Park and Recreation District is looking for volunteers to participate in a subcommittee examining the district’s bylaws. The park district is a taxpayer supported entity best known for operating the John Vanderzicht Memorial Pool It also maintains an off-leash dog park and baseball fields off Ault Field Road. An elected five-member board oversees the district’s operations.

The North Whidbey Park and Recreation District is looking for volunteers to participate in a subcommittee examining the district’s bylaws.

The park district is a taxpayer supported entity best known for operating the John Vanderzicht Memorial Pool It also maintains an off-leash dog park and baseball fields off Ault Field Road. An elected five-member board oversees the district’s operations.

The district’s bylaws were last revised about eight years ago. People interested in getting involved with the bylaw subcommittee will have to  attend several meetings in August and September.
