Nominate distinguished Western graduates

Nominations sought by Dec. 31

Nominations are now being accepted for Western Washington University’s Distinguished Alumnus Award for 2002.

The award is based on lifetime achievement in a particular field or contribution to humanity in general.

Nominees must have graduated from Western or one of its predecessor institutions: Bellingham Normal, Western Washington College of Education or Western Washington State College.

Nominations should include a letter of nomination, a current vita or resume for the nominee and at least three additional letters of support, as well as any other supporting material, such as news clippings or magazine articles.

Nominations must be postmarked no later than Dec. 31, 2001.

The person selected as the Distinguished Alumnus for 2002 is brought to campus and honored at a formal dinner attended by the president and vice presidents of WWU, Alumni Association board members, faculty, staff, family, co-workers and friends.

The honoree will visit campus and may be asked to participate in departmental events or classes.
