The online version of the Whidbey News-Times can now be delivered once a week to your e-mail box.

“The online version of the Whidbey News-Times can now be delivered once a week to your e-mail box.Every Sunday, online subscribers will receive selected news stories, features, sports, columns and editorials from both the Wednesday and Saturday editions of the News-Times.The News-Times Web site has always included a provision for online subscriptions but e-mail delivery has not been possible until recently. Already, nearly 200 online subscribers have registered and are now receiving Sunday delivery.The online News-Times does not include everything found in the printed version of the paper. But many of the top stories are included, as are columns on gardening, food, faith, the outdoors and local doings. You’ll also find sports features, entertainment and profiles of local people. Even Island Scanner, the popular roundup of police and fire reports, can be found online.To sign up for the e-mailed News-Times go to the Web site at www.whidbeynewstimes.com and click on the box labeled “Subscribe online.” Just fill out the information and hit “Submit Account.” Your first online News-Times should show up the following SundayIf you have already subscribed and no longer wish to receive the News-Times by e-mail, send us a note requesting that you be removed from the subscriber list. Please include your name as well as your e-mail address with your request.
