Navy has help available

I’m a Navy wife in the Oak Harbor area and I found out through our command ombudsman that the Navy/Marine Core Relief Society has a visiting nurse that can come by and help when you’re sick or you’re overwhelmed, things like that.

It’s free, and it might be something that Shawna Alzina (Whidbey News-Times, Jan. 29) might be interested in pursuing. At the very least, maybe someone from the Relief Society could arrange transportation for her when she needs to go grocery shopping or to medical on base — things that are necessary.

I don’t think they’d help with just things for fun, but I can’t imagine they’d refuse to help for necessities. It might be worth passing on to that couple.
