All clear at NAS Whidbey Island after bomb threat

The all clear was set at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island just after 5:40 p.m. Friday after a bomb threat, according to a Navy spokesman.

NAS Whidbey Island was under lock down and several buildings were evacuated after receiving a bomb threat around 3 p.m. Friday. Security forces received the telephonic threat this afternoon, according to Mike Welding, public affairs officer at NAS Whidbey Island.
