“A man wanted on three warrants escaped from Island County Sheriff’s Deputies in Greenbank Saturday night. Authorities are still looking for 20-year-old Sean Williams. According to Jan Smith, Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman, Williams was driving a car that contained several other young people when he was spotted by a deputy. The car was stopped but everyone inside jumped out and fled, resulting in a manhunt that lasted several hours.All but Williams were either caught or turned themselves in. Smith said four police units were involved in the hunt, some blocking intersections to keep traffic out of the area as a search was conducted.The search concerned neighbors. It affected the entire neighborhood – a little mass hysteria, said one woman who didn’t want her name used. Williams is not considered dangerous but nobody in the neighborhood near the Greenbank Farm knew it at the time.A police loudspeaker was used to direct comments to a patch of woods where Williams was thought to be hiding, but he never emerged. And police searchlights were used to sweep the Greenbank Farm. Smith said Williams was never located. It is believed a friend drove him to the bus station in Everett, where he took a bus out of state.Williams, who sometimes goes by the alias of Sean Bulger, is wanted on three warrants. One is a $2,500 felony warrant for failure to report to authorities on charges related to possession of stolen property. There were two District Court warrants for $2,500 each, one for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and the other for failing to appear in court on a charge of providing alcohol to a minor.Smith said none of the warrants are extraditable, meaning that if Williams reaches another state he can’t be sent back. Deputies tried to have the bus stopped in other Washington jurisdictions but contacts could not be arranged in time.Should Williams return to the island, Smith encourages residents to report him to the Sheriff’s Office. He is 5-feet, 10-inches tall, 170 pounds, with light black skin, brown eyes, black hair, and several tattoos.Sheriff Mike Hawley has called a community meeting to answer questions about this incident or any other subjects. The meeting will be Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Greenbank Farm barn. “
