The An-O-Chords men’s barbershop chorus is taking reservations for Singing Valentines again this year. All day Friday, Feb. 14, five different An-O-Chords quartets will bring Cupid’s message to lucky lovers from all over the Skagit Valley and Whidbey Island. Two sweet love songs, a long-stemmed rose and cuddly teddy bear will be delivered to wherever in the An-O-Chords coverage area your sweetheart lives or works. Paint Your Heart Out presents a special Valentines couples evening at 7 p.m.,Friday, Feb. 14, at their Pioneer Way location. It’s a night for two and not just sweethearts, parents can bring that special kid, or friends can spend the night with their best bud. He would like divers to report any octopus sightings south of Keystone and inside of Deception Pass southward. Concerts on the Cove welcomes world renowned jazz and blues harmonica player, Carlos del Junco, at 5 p.m., at the Coupeville High School Performing Arts Center. Del Junco returns after his successful island presentation two years ago. The world-champion harmonica player comes in support of his current CD “Up and at ‘Em” which showcases his ecclectic palette of musical style that covers everything from blues, Latin, Tex-Mex, country, New Orleans funk, swing, traditional or contemporary jazz, the occasional African, hip hop and ska flavored rhythms.
