Oak Harbor senior Heidi McNeill scored two points for the 4A West squad, who lost a close contest 61-58 to the East.

The West maintained an 11 point lead with 2:30 left in the contest, but a late offensive explosion by the East put them over the top.

McNeill isn’t done with her all-star tour. The 6-foot-3 McDonald’s All-American nominee will participate in the 11th annual Oregon vs. Washington Senior All-Star game at 5 p.m., Sunday, April 3 at the University of Portland.

It will be her final game representing OHHS before she moves on to play for the University of Washington next fall.

Coupeville senior Lexie Black also participated Saturday, scoring three points for the 1A/B West team.

The East defeated the West 77-64.

The 6-foot-2 Black has had various colleges scout her, including Division II, Alaska Fairbanks.

According to CHS head coach Greg Oldham, academics and a great college experience come first.

“If the right situation comes up, she will play next year,” he said.
