The Coupeville Lions are hosting their sixth annual Scholarship Auction. Again, the full force of the Coupeville Lions is being directed to its annual soup social and auction. In the five years they have produced this fine event, nearly $100,000 dollars has been raised to furnish a variety of scholarships to qualified Coupeville High School graduates.

This year’s event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 26, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Crockett Barn. Tickets are $25 per person and includes a choice of hearty soups, fresh crusty bread, and a beautiful green salad. For dessert, the highest bidding table chooses among an array of sinfully delicious, beautifully decorated cakes, pies, and more prepared by Coupeville Lions, Lion spouses, and friends of Lions.

Enjoy a nice selection of wine, beer, and cheese by Bayleaf. Mingle and meet neighbors and friends at the silent auction and have fun out-bidding each other.

After dinner have a blast with auctioneer Dale Sherman and his sidekick, Bob Clay. Auctioned this year will be a three-day weekend in Victoria, B.C., a number of local getaways, catered dinners, spa experiences and much, much more.

Tickets are selling rapidly so there is no time to waste. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets are available by calling Carol Pharbs at 678-5141, check with your neighborhood Lion, or stopping by the Bayleaf.

Hope to see you there.
