All summer long we’ll have programs for school-aged kids on Tuesday afternoons at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. beginning Tuesday, June 24 with magician Jeff Evans. The series will wind up on August 12 with our Finisher’s Party and Mayor’s Award Ceremony. Teen programs include Greg Bennick at 7 p.m. on July 2, juggling everything from beanbags to machetes. Teens are also invited to participate in a summer-long volunteer program and receive a free T-shirt.

These special programs and activities are offered due to the overwhelming support from the Friends of the Oak Harbor Library. The Friends fund the programs, volunteer their time and energy to assist with programs and sign-ups, and provide free books for all the children who reach their summer reading goal as well as prizes for teens and adults. We couldn’t do it without them. Thank you, Friends of the Oak Harbor Library for your support for the library and the community.
