A sex offender considered to be a high risk of reoffending has moved to Greenbank.

The Island County Sheriff’s Office reported that 44-year-old Jeffery Charles Sitton moved to a home on Sunrise Park Way.

Sitton was convicted in a series of sexual assaults against both young girls and boys in Oklahoma. He previously lived in Longview Wash., according to the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs website.

In 1995, Sitton was convicted of forcible sodomy and three counts of lewd molestation in Garfield County in Oklahoma. He was 19 years old when he sexually assaulted three girls under the age of 14, according to the sheriff’s office.

In 2004, Sitton was convicted of lewd molestation for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old boy he was babysitting, the sheriff’s office reported.

Sitton is categorized as a Level 3 sex offender. That means a risk assessment determined that he is a high risk of sexually reoffending in the community at large.
